Getting to the BVIs
The British Virgin Islands are located approximately 90 miles due east of Puerto Rico, and are at the top of the Lesser Antilles island chain. There are several air routes to our primary airport, the Terrence B. Lettsome Airport, located on Tortola Island. The airline code is EIS.
The Terrence B. Lettsome Airport has no direct flights from the USA, Canada, Europe, or South America. All flights must connect through another Caribbean airport. Most travelers to the BVI arrive via San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU). Other airports with frequent service include St. Thomas (STT) and Antigua (ANU) Connecting service is offered by Seaborne and Cape Air, with occasional service by other airlines and charter flights.

The most direct way to fly to the BVI is via San Juan, Puerto Rico. Frequent connecting service is offered by Cape Air and Seaborne, with occasional service by other airlines and charter flights.

Travelers can also use one of the frequent ferries between downtown Charlotte Amalie or Red Hook, St. Thomas and Tortola. Ferry service is available to Virgin Gorda and Anegada on certain days and to Virgin Gorda every day via West End or Road Town.
Flights via Antigua - Airport Code (ANU)
Travelers from the UK (from London, Gatwick) and Canada may find it easiest to travel directly to Antigua by way of the Lester Bird International Airport and then take a connecting flight to Tortola on LIAT, or private charter flights.
