VIRGIN GORDA  Back to the Map

Yacht Harbor

Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour
Located in the island’s main settlement The Valley, the harbour has slips for rental on a nightly basis to chartered yachts. From there, we recommend renting a car to truly explore the B.V.I’s second largest island.
Leverick Bay
Leverick Bay
Visit the exclusive resort of Little Dix Bay, and drive to Savannah Bay to enjoy a swim at this breathtaking and often deserted beach. Follow the road around and drive over Gorda Peak, the island’s National Park with fabulous vistas, and end your tour at Leverick Bay for a well-deserved cocktail and a swim in the pool.

If eating lunch or dinner on shore appeals, Virgin Gorda offers a choice of several restaurants; Giorgio’s is one of our favourites. Although not local fare, the Italian cuisine served here in a wonderful setting is an experience we are sure you will enjoy.

The Baths
The Baths
Considered by many who have visited the area as the Eighth Wonder of the World, this is a geological phenomenon unmatched anywhere. Gigantic granite boulders look as if they have been dropped haphazardly from the sky, creating a playground for visitors to walk over (and in some areas, crawl through!). Not for the faint-hearted, there is a popular trail through the boulders from The Baths to the beautiful Devil’s Bay, an adjacent beach.

The boulders protruding from the sea provide a spectacular snorkelling location on a calm day. If all this exercise works up your appetite or thirst, then amble up to the Top of the Baths and cool off in their fresh water pool while lunch is served. Although not suitable as an overnight anchorage, The Baths should not be missed.

North Sound

Bitter End Yacht Club
Bitter End Yacht Club
Accessible only by boat, North Sound is a popular overnight anchorage with a number of venues in which to spend a fun afternoon or evening. Biras Creek is an acclaimed hotel and restaurant situated above the bay, while the Bitter End Yacht Club offers a more casual atmosphere, complete with its own British-style pub.
The Baths
Arrive at this spot early enough in the day, and the children can enjoy renting sunfish dinghies to explore the area, or watersports lessons from the Club’s rep.

Saba rock
Saba Rock is located just off the shoreline. This bar guarantees a great atmosphere and friendly service by some of the area’s most experienced bartenders.Just across the bay is Mosquito Island (not particularly aptly named!), where Drake’s Anchorage provides you with yet another alternative venue to spend you time at North Sound.
