The British Virgin Islands are located approximately 90 miles due east of Puerto Rico, and are at the top of the Lesser Antilles island chain. There are several air routes into the territory. Below are a few suggestions:

Nanny Cay

American Airlines fly into San Juan International Airport on Puerto Rico from many US airports (a flight from Miami takes less than 3 hours). From San Juan, American Eagle or Cape Air have several flights a day to Beef Island Airport on Tortola; this flight is only 35 minutes long. Once at the airport, taxis are available to take you to your charter company or your hotel/villa.

Delta Airlines fly into St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands. A short taxi ride to Charlotte Amalie will take you to a ferry where you can enjoy a scenic boat ride across to Tortola, and a short taxi ride to your final destination.

Coming from Europe there are two options. Fly directly into Antigua on British Airways or Virgin Atlantic, and connect onto a local Caribbean airline to take you to Beef Island Airport on Tortola. Alternatively, fly into an airport on the eastern coast of the US (Miami International and New York’s JFK tend to have the best connections), fly to San Juan Airport on Puerto Rico and finally take a 35 minute island hop on a smaller plane across to Beef Island. Taxis are available at the airport to transport you to your final destination.
